About The Author
I am a former NYC public school teacher. I taught biology, health, and psychology for many years. I loved my job and the opportunity it gave me to connect with children every day.
After my first child was born, I decided to take time off to be with him in his formative years. It was a difficult decision, but I’m so glad I made it.
Being able to spend my day with my children is something I will never take for granted.
As a SAHM, my days are filled with child rearing activities and household duties. During my free time, I love to journal and paint. I’m also currently learning how to sew.
When I started my parenting journey, it was a very isolating experience. I had my first child in the middle of the COVID pandemic.
The isolation that resulted from being a first time mom and a SAHM in a pandemic was too much to bare.
I suffered from postpartum depression, and with the help of a therapist, I was able to find my way out of it.
I always wished that there was a place I could go to not just to vent my frustrations, but to ask for helpful tips and tricks from other stay-at-home moms.
Often, I had to dig through piles of pages on the internet to find something close to what I was looking for. That is why I wanted to create this blog, to be a safe space for moms (especially stay at home moms, and first time moms) to share their parenting struggles and resources to help one another.
It is very easy to forget ourselves as moms, because we are so busy caring for other people that we tend to neglect ourselves. This blog is a place where we can all come together to get various tools that can help us grow as individuals and as mothers.
